About the SLE

The Second Language Evaluation (SLE) is the official assessment used by the Public Service Commission (PSC) to determine employees’ proficiency in their second official language.
It measures three skill areas:

  • Reading Comprehension

  • Written Expression

  • Oral Interaction

How We Prepare You

Delivery Formats & Flexibility

Virtual Learning (Canada-wide)

All our training programs are offered through secure online platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).
Each class is interactive and includes:

  • Real-time oral practice

  • Shared workspaces and writing correction tools

  • Screen-shared grammar explanations and vocabulary review

  • Progress tracking

In-Person Training (BC and Ottawa)

We provide in-person sessions for:

  • Government employees in British Columbia

  • Visiting federal employees in Ottawa

  • Departments with custom training contracts

Scheduling

We understand public service work schedules and offer:

  • Early morning sessions (7–9 AM)

  • Midday and lunch-hour sessions

  • Evening and weekend classes for flexibility

Course Customization

Departments can request:

  • 4-week, 8-week, or 12-week modules

  • Group or individual learning

  • Progress reports every 4 weeks

  • Bilingual instructors familiar with government culture
