Position Summary

We are looking for Virtual Interpreters fluent in one or more of the following languages:
French, Spanish, Arabic, Swahili, Twi, Yoruba, Portuguese, Somali, Mandarin, and Farsi.

Interpreters will provide real-time, professional interpretation services for clients in educational, community, and government contexts , primarily via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, impartial, and culturally sensitive interpretation between English and your target language.

• Facilitate communication during meetings, interviews, workshops, and consultations.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

• Prepare by reviewing assignment briefs and terminology lists.

• Report assignment details and availability to the project coordinator.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and at least one other language (spoken and written).

• Minimum of 1 year of interpretation experience (community, conference, or legal/medical settings).

• Strong interpersonal and listening skills.

• Ability to work independently and virtually.

• Certification or training in interpretation is an asset (e.g., CTTIC, community interpretation programs).

Verbal Link Institute is seeking dynamic and passionate French and English language instructors to join our growing team. We deliver high-quality virtual language training to adult learners across Canada, including public servants and newcomers.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and structured French or English language instruction (individual and group sessions).

Prepare lesson plans and tailor teaching approaches to meet learners’ goals.

Track learner progress and provide regular feedback.

Participate in team meetings and periodic training.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in French, English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.

At least 1 year of experience teaching adults (public sector experience an asset).

Excellent communication and intercultural skills.

Comfortable using digital teaching tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, LMS platforms).

Certification (e.g., TESL/TEFL, DAEFLE, DELF/DALF examiner) is an asset.
